Managed app connections

Connect a supported Cloud app when your integration needs its data or tools.

Cloud can guide users through connecting supported apps, such as Google Workspace. A connection belongs to the authenticated account. Completing sign-in does not remove its tool-approval rules.

For a daemon or a custom server, use custom MCP connections.

Connect the requested app

For example, a morning-brief Agent may need a calendar connection. Its run can enter waiting_action with an mcp_connect action in thread state.

  1. Read the action to identify the requested app_id.
  2. Check the managed connection list for that app.
  3. Send POST /v1/mcp-oauth/catalog/{app_id}/connect if it needs connection.
  4. If the response says redirect, open its authorization_url for the user.
  5. Let the user complete the provider sign-in and Fluso callback.
  6. Check connection status and thread state before continuing.

A connected response needs no browser handoff. PROVISIONING means provider sign-in succeeded but Fluso setup is still finishing. A refresh can complete registration. It cannot authorize an unconnected app.

Complete a custom callback client

Fluso's signed-in callback normally completes the handoff. A client that handles an allowed callback itself must submit its completion_proof under the initiating account.

Send the proof to POST /v1/mcp-oauth/catalog/connect/complete. Optionally set expected_server_id to check the returned connection. Protect the proof like a temporary credential. It expires after five minutes.

A provider redirect alone does not establish that the connection is usable. Wait for the completion response or verified connection status.

Managed app endpoints
Method and pathUse
GET /v1/mcp-oauth/catalogList app IDs and connection metadata.
GET /v1/mcp-oauth/catalog/connectionsRead provider connection status without repairing it.
POST /v1/mcp-oauth/catalog/{app_id}/connectStart authorization or return an existing usable connection.
GET /v1/mcp-oauth/catalog/callbackProvider/browser handoff. Do not use it for polling.
POST /v1/mcp-oauth/catalog/connect/completeComplete the account-bound proof exchange.

Reads accept a developer read token. Connection changes require write access. The provider callback validates its own handoff state.

Managed apps can be unavailable in a deployment, returning 503. redirect_url, when supplied, must match an allowed Fluso callback location.
